Can we please make Fresh 48 sessions a thing again?! It seems like ever since that dreaded 2020 era that shall not be named…they have been much less common for me lately. But when Abby reached out about scheduling Fresh 48 photos at Riley Maternity Tower following the birth of their very first baby, I was so excited to get back into that sacred postpartum space to help them celebrate their very first moments as a family of three!
Abby had some beautiful classical music playing softly in the background, which added extra peaceful vibes to the room. Baby Henry was happy as long as he was being snuggled by his parents! He seemed like a pretty chill guy overall, and obviously he was also INSANELY adorable.
I loved the outfit Abby chose to wear for these photos – such a perfectly cozy pajama set in a light and airy color, which helped brighten up their photos even though the hospital room was pretty dark. And let me tell you, there is no need to get all dressed up in anything other than the softest comfiest fabrics you can find when you are just 24 hours outside of delivering a baby!
I’m hopeful that more families choose to book Fresh 48 photos in 2024! There’s just something extra sweet and simple about these postpartum sessions. This time becomes so hazy in our memories VERY quickly, it’s such a gift to capture the details to look back on when baby is suddenly 4 times that size! I feel like an old lady saying this, but it really is all so so fleeting.
