Words don’t do justice to this sweet newborn session at home with Benny the goldendoodle baby Norah! 🙂 I can’t even deal with the cuteness. Anyone who knows me knows I have a soft spot for babies and dogs together in one photo, and Benny and Norah did not disappoint! Norah is my niece so I might be a tiny bit biased…but I do believe she is about as perfect as they come (I think Benny agrees).
I had the absolute privilege of witnessing Norah’s birth and documenting her birth story for my brother and sister-in-law, and apparently she is just going to get even cuter each time I photograph her!
Sometimes when your first baby is of the furry variety, you just gotta include him in the baby snuggles. Benny might have been temporarily demoted from his usual dibs on mom and dad’s lap, but he’ll take what he can get.
One of my favorite things about doing newborn photos at home is getting to capture the whole fam together in baby’s nursery! I know Norah will love looking back at these photos and seeing her mama’s personal touches (and great taste) all around her very first bedroom. Not to mention that if you’re going to put any effort into making that nursery pretty, you might as well get some photos of it!
You really don’t need much for an in-home newborn session, and that’s one of the many reasons I love them! As long as we can find a window for light and a soft swaddle to wrap up the baby in, we’re golden! As you can see I utilized my most advanced wrapping skills here. HA.
It kills me how insanely quickly newborns change. Not even a month after these photos, Norah was already looking so different and changing so much (staying every bit as gorgeous of course). Luckily for me, Norah and her parents don’t live too far away and I get to snuggle her pretty frequently! Hopefully they won’t mind my need to snap photos of her any chance I get…
